In-Class Activities:   The professor projects a Maze Grid with a question and 5 answers (see Graphic on next page, Professors Only).  The class is broken into groups and Group A picks an answer, which leads into a new maze room.  You explain that the maze grid shows your current location and that the students' job is to discover the location of the maze exit.  Group B now picks an answer, leading to a new maze room, and now all the groups are discussing amongst themselves whether the previous answer was right and which new direction to pursue in this information-space style maze.  As students explore the maze and discuss answers, the Professor tosses in clues to help them consolidate and extend their knowledge.

Homework:  [technically HomePlay].  This is the PERFECT textbook supplement for professors: they just send a web-link to their students.  Nothing could be easier, and after the students have finished, the professor receives a report on individual students' and overall class performance.  The professor now knows which topics to revisit and what help to give the students who struggled.  We hope to soon create within-game help features, that will dynamically boost motivation and provide clues that enhance cognitive advancement.
.
.
Competitions: You set the game/contest to be activated at 8:00 pm.  After the students play, you automatically receive a report of who finished and when-- the next day you hand out prizes in class: e.g. fastest time by a Biology major; slowest time by a Physics major, etc.  You also receive the standard summary of individual and class-wide performance on the different maze questions.

Who Can Use Digital Maze Games?  Everyone!
Initially it will be used as a "college textbook supplement", giving publishers an exciting activity to accompany their other digital content.  High School teachers are also asking for DM games.  It can just as easily be used for Technical and Corporate training as well as during preparation for standardized tests.
